Junior Tennis Programs
Baseline Bullies
5-6 years
With more coordination and movement skills than our younger kids it's now time for a class for our 5 to 6 year olds. Our Baseline Bullies class is the perfect fit for an age group with lot's of energy and yet still not ready to stand on their own at the next level. Just like our Gorilla's class we strive to empathize that tennis is first and foremost fun and don't stress technique at the expense of a good sweat. Here in this class, we us games such as Clean Your Room and Cricket to not only work on their BAC (Balance, Agility and Coordination), but also to introduce more racquet skills.
For this special group, we've assembled a great team of college and high school players who bring the needed enthusiasm to these groups.
Our instructors pride themselves on making sure that the class is packed with lots of fun, and with small class sizes of 6:1, everyone gets plenty of attention and just the right amount of technique.
The games we introduce and play each day will center on skills they will need for the next level. Throwing and catching skills, as well as coordinated movement form the foundations for the class, and add to that, the fundamentals of using their racquet to control the ball in both direction and height, and these special guys and gals will be ready for an endorsement contract before you can say "Game Set Match".
No special skills or prerequisites are needed for this class and we offer it throughout the season in both a camp and weekly class format.
Please make sure your special player has their own racquet - sizes should range from 21 to 25 inches in length, tennis shoes, a water bottle (Please nothing sticky) and dressed for lots of movement. |
